Molecular Diagnostics Challenge Guidelines

Share these details about your idea or project:

  • What is the target molecule(s) to be extracted? What is your previous experience with this/these specific target molecule(s)?
  • Tell us about the sample type being analyzed.
  • What is the current method to extract the molecule and how does it compare with your new approach? (RNA, Plasmid DNA, etc.).
  • Why is it important to improve your approach?
  • How has the use of Sera-Mag™ beads or Sera-Xtracta™ kits helped to improve the overall workflow in terms of performance (binding capacity, speed, coverage, efficiency, etc.)?
  • What are your ideas for commercialization of the workflow / assay / kit: potential market size, end-users?
  • What steps were undertaken to reach your final conclusions?

This challenge focuses on molecular diagnostics.

Examples of possible solutions and project scopes related to molecular diagnostics:
  • DNA and RNA extraction (Plasmid DNA, Genomic DNA etc.)
  • Improvement to traditional method (spin column, glass fiber etc.)

This Cytiva Immunoassay Rapid Test Challenge is open to EMEA and Asia Pacific corporations and research institutions.
